Epcot Festival 2017

Q: What are the dates for this year’s Flower & Garden and Food & Wine Festivals?

It won’t be long before Disney lovers say good-bye to the Christmas Season and 2017 is underway.  This means that many of us Disney fans will turn our attention from all of the holiday-themed Christmas activities to upcoming events on the 2107 Disney calendar like Epcot’s International Flower and Garden and Food & Wine Festivals.  With that in mind Disney has been releasing some exciting information about both. Here’s what we know so far:

2017 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival: The 2017 Festival is offering 90 days of botanical delights and will run March 1 – May 29, 2017.  This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.   Here’s just a taste of the highlights:

  • Outdoor kitchens will offer spectacular dishes and delicious libations.
  • Dozens of Disney themed topiaries including a new 6ft tall Figment, Vintage Minnie, Mickey, Daisy and Pluto, a re-imagined Beauty and the Beast as well as a character from the upcoming Pixar film Cars 3.
  • Beautiful garden spaces and wildlife habitats.
  • A jam-packed line-up of seminars, exhibits and “How To” demonstrations.
  • The outdoor “Garden Rocks” concert series performing on Monday-Friday evenings.

Packages are currently available and can be booked by contacting Disney directly or through your local travel agent.

Food and Wine 2017

2017 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival: The news that has Disney-foodies giddy with excitement is that Epcot announced plans last week to expand Food & Wine to encompass a whopping 75 days. Next  year’s festival will kick off on August 31 and run through until November 31, 2017. Visitors to Epcot during this time can expect to find even more culinary delights, concerts, workshops, kiosks and wine tastings added to the mix.

Packages are available to book for next year’s Festival and accommodation can book up quickly so those hoping to attend are encouraged to make their bookings as early as possible.

festival-of-the-artsEpcot festival-lovers should also mark their calendars for the first annual Epcot International Festival of the Arts.  Running on Fridays- Mondays from January 13 – February 20, 2017,  the newest festival-on-the-block promises to showcase the visual, culinary and performing arts. Guests will be able to see amazing exhibits featuring the works of artistic Disney legends like Mary Blair and Herb Ryman as well as current artists like Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos. The festival also marks a collaboration with Disney Theatrical who will be bringing at taste of Broadway to the American Theatre Stage with excerpts from much-loved Disney musicals including: The Lion King, Newsies and Aladdin. Rounding out this amazing trifecta are several food studios offering up edible works of art.

Festival-goers are encouraged to watch this space or visit our sister-site Chip and Co. for the latest news and updates on each of these amazing Festivals for 2017.
