For those planning a trip to Walt Disney World, there are a lot of perks to staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort (click here to find out more).  That being said, if you’re a vacation bargain hunter looking for rock-bottom Disney deals and discounts, there are 7 Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels.  These hotels are privately run and offer competitive prices including nightly room discounts and bed and breakfast packages that may entice those looking for an alternative to on-site prices.  The 7 Resorts are as follows:

  • B Resort & Spa
  • Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort
  • Buena Vista Palace
  • Double Tree Suite by Hilton Lake Buena Vista
  • Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista
  • Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area
  • Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista

Visitors to any of the above resorts will find themselves within close proximity to Disney Springs with nightlife, food and shopping at their doorstep. Depending on the season and the resort,  rates may go as low as $72.00 a night meaning more money for  delicious cuisine or the latest fashions. There are also additional perks to staying in one of the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels including: the ability to purchase park tickets directly through the hotel as well as tickets for events like Cirque du Soleil. Many of these hotels also have on-site Disney shops carrying souvenirs that you may have forgotten to pick up while at the parks.

However one of the areas that puts people off from giving these resorts a try is trying to sort out the logistics of getting to and from the parks and airport.  So let’s talk transportation:.

If I stay at a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel how do I get to and from the Airport?  None of the resorts currently offer their own airport shuttle services. However, there are still a couple of affordable options at your disposal. The first is to arrange for a taxi service to take you directly from the Airport to your resort.  Mears is a company recommended by most hotels and agents  A taxi (holding up to 7 people) from the airport will cost about $51 – 55 each with tolls being an additional dollar or two.

Mears also offers a shuttle service that will do several pick-ups or drop-offs and runs at a slightly reduced rate.  The cost to take a shuttle to and from the airport to your Disney Springs Resort Area hotel is $23.00 one way and $37.00 per person round trip.

How do I get to and from the theme parks? Each of the 7 resorts in the Disney Springs area offer transportation to and from the four Disney theme parks and the water parks.  The buses are scheduled to run every 30 minutes.  Visitors should note that these are not the official Disney World Transportation buses but rather a separate service specifically for these Resort Area Hotels.
