RunDisney Races

Running a Disney race is truly fun-filled experience and every mile is magic. The music, the fireworks, the characters along the course, and running through the theme parks all contribute to a race experience that is unique and unparalleled. Disney races are extremely popular, so it is always best to register for a race as soon as registration becomes available since the races do fill up. But it is not too late to sign up, and you still have time to make every mile magic.

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – Registration is currently open for the 25th Walt Disney World Marathon weekend, January 1- January 17, Some of the races are sold out, but as of Friday, there was still some availability for the marathon and the half marathon. If you are feeling especially ambitious, registration is also still available for the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, a two-day, 39.3 challenge through the parks. And, if your little ones want in on the fun, you can still sign them up for the runDisney KidsRaces. The full marathon and the half marathon are $185, the kids races start at $20, and the Goofy Challenge is $365.

Disney Princess Half Marathon – Registration is also open for the 10th Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, February 22-25, 2018. Run runDisney Vacation Packages – Now, runDisney is making planning and running a race even more magical, because when you register for the race you can also book a Magic Your Way package. This is a wonderful offer because 2018 vacation packages are not yet available for purchase. So, not only do you get to register for your race, you also get to book your Disney vacation before it is available to the general public. The Magic Your Way Base Package includes a Disney resort and theme park ticket. Disney has over 25 themed resorts to choose from, as well as customizable theme park tickets. All it takes is the cost of the race(s) and a $200 deposit on a Magic Your Way Package. Prices will vary according to resort and theme park ticket choices; dining options are also available.

While it is not necessary to stay at a Disney resort to run a Disney race, it really is the best option. All Disney resorts include complimentary transportation to race weekend events, so you don’t have to worry about parking or traffic. And, staying on property will make your race experience even more magical
