Will I Be Able to See Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Later This Year?

Q: I’m heading to the parks in November but I don’t see the Star Wars fireworks on the schedule. Will it still be on offer?

Guests working out their plans for their November/December Walt Disney World visits have taken notice that after November 5th, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular does not appear on the My Disney Experience schedule. This has led worried planners to speculate that it may not be on offer later this year.

However, I have great news for Star Wars fans. Having been asked this question several times this week, I got straight on the phone with Disney. The Cast Member I spoke to assured me that yes the fireworks will be on offer. They are slated to run at 8pm on select evenings. The cast member also informed me that as of now, those planning on hitting Hollywood Studios on Thanksgiving Day will be pleased to know that A Galactic Spectacular will be going ahead on Thursday November 24th at 8pm. Disney employees can see the evening show listed in their system so it’s simply a matter of the schedule not being updated on Disney’s official site as of yet. I was assured that dates and times would be posted online shortly.

For those who haven’t yet had an opportunity to see Star Wars; A Galactic Spectacular, definitely add it to your Disney “must-do” list. This state-of-the-art evening production lights up the night sky with a combination of digital projections, pyrotechnics, and a laser light show all set to the scores of Star Wars films both old and new.
