Disney is known for magical holiday celebrations; but this year, there’s more fun to go around with three New Year’s Eve events at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! Reservations for these fabulous events open for booking this Tuesday, July 11th! Disney Addicts has all of the info you’ll need to pick the event that’s perfect for you!
1. Disney Countdown to Midnight
Want to dance your way into 2018? If so, check out “Disney Countdown to Midnight.” This special event for guests 18 years and older will take place in the Contemporary’s Fantasia Ballroom from 8 PM to 1 AM. Guests can expect live music from the house DJ, yummy food, unique spirits, and a rumored visit from Mickey and Minnie! Once midnight arrives, party-goers can toast each other with a glass of champagne as they step outside to view the New Year’s Eve fireworks at Magic Kingdom.
2. Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration
Are you looking to enjoy New Year’s Eve with your family? Then the Contemporary’s “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration” is perfect for you! Guests of all ages are welcome to this special event, which will take place from 8 PM – 12:15 AM in the Ballroom of the Americas. You’ll enjoy the Pixar-themed ambience with murals and backdrops from your favorite Pixar films, as well as meet-and-greets with characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, Cars, and Up. Your evening will also include a Pixar-inspired buffet style meal, Pixar face painting, a balloon artist, a boot camp with Sarge from Toy Story, and a dance party with music from Radio Disney. Then, as midnight strikes, you’ll be escorted outside to view the New Year’s Eve fireworks at Magic Kingdom. Talk about a fun way to welcome 2018 alongside your family!
3. Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience
All of the “foodies” out there will love the Contemporary’s “Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience.” As you enter the Grand Republic Ballroom, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped right into the French Quarter! Inspired by “The Princess and the Frog,” guests can expect to enjoy a beautifully decorated atmosphere featuring delectable cuisine like oyster beignets, Kobe beef tartare, herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, Black Angus beef cooked two ways, and filet of beef with truffled celery root silk. Is your mouth watering yet? You’ll also enjoy a live New Orleans style jazz band accompanied by a vocalist who’ll sing your favorite songs from the beloved film! Once midnight strikes, you’ll be outside with a glass of bubbly as you view the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Magic Kingdom. This event, which runs from 7 PM – 12:15 AM, is sure to be a popular one!
